This is a review of an older book – you will find that I will be doing many of these types of reviews. There will be new books as well, but I will review everything I read, new or old.
Many Stephen King fans will probably be upset with me. First, let me say that I am an avid Stephen King Fan. I had read this book many years ago and felt it dry and boring much of the time. In fact, I skipped over pages, probably missing important parts of the story because I was simply dying, and needing to get back to “the good stuff”.
I decided to read the book again, thinking that maybe I just was in some kind of a funk when I read it the first 10 or so years ago, so I bought it for my Kindle and began reading. Again, it started out ok and then I began getting bored with the prose – I’m sorry Mr. King – I love your writing, but this book just doesn’t do it for me.
Still, overall it gets a 4-star rating from me, I just wish it could make it 5 stars as most of the other books and short stories I have read from Mr. King. If you want to read the book, click the Amazon button and you will be able to see all available formats for the book.
